Summer Fun

Some photos and an update.

Here are some pics from our summer and fall so far. We had a great summer. Dan worked as a landscaper driving tractors and such in Driggs Idaho. Ej started student teaching and can't wait to finish up her degree in December. Other wonderful news: We get to move out of our apartment to a much nicer place cuz Ej got the job managing a large student complex here in Rexburg! Enjoy the pics.

Auntie Ej babysitting her niece Shanny and nephew Matthew up at the McLendon's in Missoula! (Nice new place.)
We are getting ready to take on the river in some cliff jumping and tubing! (sweet summer beard eh?)

What was Jayden looking at? The river was a blast ya'll!

Dan and Shanny having one of Phil's delicious burgers before hitting the river on the tubes!

This summer was all about the golfing. Dan played in two golf leagues and got his handicap down to eight. Ej got some new clubs and has even beat Dan on a few holes.

Ej has a beautiful swing, and has only improved this summer! What a natural.

I don't know why I always end up in that fairway bunker. It is my nemesis. Pretty sure I still shot par on this one... or birdied... Ya, birdied.

When Merle came down she got into the golfing spirit too. She isn't half bad, Mother like Daughter I guess.

There is no better way to greet the day. Amen.

I had my first experience hunting. I went up to Salmon Idaho with my buddy CJ and we wanted to find a young buck we could turn into some jerky.

We got him, but only after I scoped myself in the forehead and nose. Ha ha, gotta learn somehow I guess.

Oh yeah, Ej has a new shirt...

Quick Update

I don't have my camera with me right now so I will have to add pictures later but I just wanted to give a quick update. Life is going good for Daniel and I. We finished our semester earlier this month and are looking forward to our summer. I am officially finished with all my on-campus course and will be doing my student teaching this September. I am really excited about finally graduating come December. Daniel has a few more years left so it is a good thing I like Rexburg:) We are currently managing a BYU Idaho approved housing complex called Appletree Apartments. It is actually a house and we live in the basement but it is pretty easy work and the rent cheap so we like it. Daniel is working for a landscaping company out in Driggs for the summer. The company is doing work on this Ranch that has a 30 foot Native American Statue in the back yard. It is a pretty cool statue, I will post a picture of it soon. Since the ranch is fairly large, has one of the nice views in Driggs, and has a 30 foot statue in his backyard, the owner must be fairly rich! I will make sure I post some pictures soon!

Wedding Pictures

Here are just some of our favorite wedding pictures!

Our First Blog

I decided that it was finally time to create a blog for Daniel and I. We have only been married for 2 1/2 months now and already so much has happened. We got married on Dec 13th, just in time to spend our first Christmas together. We decided that since we got married in Utah that we would spend Christmas with the Blumells up in Canada. It was nice having the whole family around for the first time in a really long time! It had been awhile since I was home during the winter time so it was a shock to Daniel and I getting out of the car in the -30 degree weather. Mom, Dad, and any other family member that was around worked really hard to have the new house done before Christmas and it looked great! While we were there we had the opportunity to have an open house with everyone that wasn't able to go to the wedding. It was so nice seeing everyone from the ward!
Another big event was Daniel's first game of hockey! Our soon to be brother-in-law Jayden was kind enough to take Daniel out for a game of hockey before we all went to see the Flames play that night. It was love at first sight for Daniel and he has been playing ever since!

Soon after we got back to Rexburg we experienced a terrible loss with the passing away of Daniel's younger brother Noah. On Jan.7th Noah (age 13) passed away in the Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City from heart failure. The loss was felt by many because Noah was loved by all who met him. We have received much strength and support by friends and family and can feel Heavenly Father comforting us always.

Daniel and Noah

Both Daniel and I are students at BYU Idaho here in Rexburg. I will finally be graduating in December with a Bachelors of Education while Daniel will eventually graduate with his accounting degree. We really like it here in Rexburg, the winters aren't the funnest but there are a lot of opportunities for us here.

We just want to thank both our families for all their love and support! We love you guys very much and are so grateful for all that you have done for us!!
